Hi,
If you've clicked on this portion of our web site, then chances are you are a woman concerned with your personal safety or that of your family and loved ones. The fact that you're right here right now states that you have intuitively taken the first step to seeking self defence skills either because something has happened to you already, something might happen to you or you're rightfully concerned about preventing rather than circumventing.
Violence is an unfortunate reality and an unfortunate part of our culture and our world. Please take the second step. We cannot rid the world of predators but we can certainly minimise the amount of victims.
Protect have specialised seminars and training programs specific to women. In general, men attack women differently to the way that men attack men. We believe that only through specialised training can you obtain specialised education.
Our 'Safe for Life' Women's Self Defence Program is regarded as the most thorough, effective seminar available in New Zealand for women.
For women, by a woman...Protect's woman specific training is lead by Athena Thompson, with students having the option of attending our regular group classes (mixed men and women), our "Safe For Life" seminar and follow up courses, and/or private tuition one on one with Athena.
It is an unfortunate reality that most women live in apathy and denial when it comes to dealing with violence and the threat of violence, by sheer virtue of the fact that you have read this far suggests that you are not one of those people and we strongly encourage you to take the next step and contact us to discuss the best training options for you.
You will never regret knowing what to do if, God forbid, you are faced with a violent situation but guaranteed you will regret it if you don't...Allow yourself to have that peace of mind, after all it is your future...Protect it!
