A few of the pics from the recent tour with Master Paul McPhail for the ITKD Instructor’s Update Course throughout NZ.
Over 150 Masters, Senior Instructors, and black belts of every rank attended. Brilliant to catch up with so many friends (and make a lot of new ones) as I helped develop the ground and static-edged weapon defence syllabus for the organisation.
ITKD NZ are very progressive, largely due to open-minded, caring, forward-thinking leaders who have the best interests of their students in mind. It is a privilege to work with them.
Although martial arts (as awesome as they are for so many things) generally only cover minimal aspects of self-protection and self-defence, ITKD NZ have been working with us for over a decade and adopted and invited with an open mind many of our principles and techniques. This has resulted in an evolved and very impressive syllabus which adds real value to anyone learning it.
