These incredible young women just ROCKED the 2-Day 'Stand Up' program at Orewa College. This is Protect's partnership program with Women's Refuge, we have been running it for over eight years and taught thousands of girls.
It is amazing!
The course is all about empowerment. It is a self defence course for women which addresses the real issues front on and leaves attendees prepared, confident, and empowered.
Women's self defence (specifically the Stand Up program) is a skill we want to see taught in every school in New Zealand, because we KNOW it works and makes a substantial difference. We have eight years of results and they are significant!
We owe it to our young women to prepare them for the real world. We are proud to be a part of a program which does exactly that.
